Torwali Research Forum-TRF is established in 2015, a local group of language activists and indigenous researchers. It voluntarily works for the promotion and development of Torwali language and culture. TRF enjoys a warm and enthusiastic support from community members, elders, poets, writers as well as national and international scholars working on the languages and literatures

Our Works

One of the founding members of TRF, Mr. Jalal Uddin, has contributed tremendously towards addressing computational needs of the organization. He specially developed the following resources not only for Torwali but for other Kohistani languages as well.

Various Windows and Android based keyboards have been prepared for the low-resourced languages of northern Pakistan, such as, Shina, Khowar, Gawri and Torwali.
